Is it shame to be Electrician?

Good day to everybody!

Today I was sitting on the bench near the children's playground and looked after my little son playing there with other kids. There were 2 young ladies sitting next to me and they were chatting.

-What does your husband make for living, asked one of them.

-He is an electrician....

- My poor! Couldn't you have found someone with a more decent trade? It's so shameful! How much he makes, then, if this is not a secret?

-25-28 K a year.

-So little? - asked the other and started laughing so loudly, that I felt embarrassed. -And what about yours? Asked her lady friend in return, when she stopped laughing.

-Mine is a businessman. -So, how much he earns? -He earns so much, that you wouldn't earn that, even if you have worked all your life. You'll hardly hold such money in your hands, I guess.

But when her lady-friend asked her to specify, there was no reply. Then it started to rain, and we all left for homes. I felt very sad. My husband is a welder, and I don't see anything disrespectful or shameful about his trade. On the contrary, I believe the trade of welder is the most wanted nowadays. After all, it is not for every next girl to marry a wealthy man and showel millions of bucks, is it?
